Want to Conceal Carry in NY

I'm a PA resident with a PA LTCF. If I get a Utah non resident LTCF will it be honored in NY?

New York doesn't even recognize New York pistol permits. Per their law and court rulings, pistol permits are issued by the County, not the State, and not all Counties, particularly those in and surrounding New York City, do not permit pistol carry unless you have one of their county licenses, and for "unrestricted" carry that means they're virtually impossible to obtain. Your upstate permit says you can carry concealed? Hah! Don't try it in New York City (which is supposed to be part of New York State, but isn't).

I have a friend in NY so I already knew the little tid bit about the county. Also, I'm not sure on this, but I think your only allowed to purchase pistols in your county as well.

See, the CCW doubles as your permit to own and buy pistols. Also, you have to state what pistol you will be carrying on the card itself. And that is the pistol you have to carry.

That's all internet BS. I can buy a pistol in any county in NY, and I can carry anywhere but the city of New York. My permit lists all my pistols, but it does not have to be noted to say which pistol I am carrying.

Yes, this is correct, all handguns are listed on the permit by the County Clerk when the gun is purchased, and crossed off when sold. Several of my guns are listed on my and my sons permit, and either of us can carry them. A separate purchase permit is required to buy a handgun even if you posses a carry permit.
