    Default 22 tcm

I see these are finally for sale, saw the first one advertised. Has anyone seen or fired ? Do you think the new cartridge will be available - how costly ? With the 9 mm barrel, what do you think about the $619 price ?

Interesting, that will defiantly go on my want list but it won't be at the top.

someone in the area had both barrels for $599 iirc. I think this round should catch on well.
you could convert a 9mm to the 22tcm with just alittle work. I think this could do well in the mouse gun market.

Shot one back in June. Pretty interesting. The 22TCM cartridge is available for about $25 for a box of 50. The cartridge looked to be made from a 223Rem casing.

Still waiting to hear back from centerfire systems about one for me. Been on the "list" for a while.

    It's a necked down 9mm.

    Edit:
Ok, I jumped on the net and it seems some are saying it's a chopped .223?

When I originally heard about this last year, they were saying it was a necked down 9mm.

    Me confused.

OK, I give props to RIA for showing some innovation (a rare thing in the mee-too gun industry). But exactly what is 22 TCM supposed to be? Definitely not a cheap plinker. A dedicated target caliber? A self-defense caliber? I, for one, wouldn't want to be an early adopter of a defense load with zero track record. Is there something I'm missing?

Its basically a 5.7 without the rediculous grip length. Similar diameterers, similar bullet weight, but far shorter.

Well, that makes two unproven calibers.

OK, I know at least one fed agency has adopted 5.7x28mm, but I thought that was in select-fire carbines only. Hot-rod 22s in defensive handguns still seem to be uncharted territory.
