Need Feedback: Maximum Price You would pay for SR1911
Checked out the web and it looks like 650.00 is a fair price. I was honored to be offered one. If you were in my situation, what would be your range?

If you're being offered it at $650 I'd grab it ! Personally I wouldn't go over $700, but they are going for as high as $800+ on gunbroker ! Some have buy it now of $850-$899 !

If I found that price I would order it in a second, without a second thought. Go get it!

Re: Need Feedback: Maximum Price You would pay for SR1911
Basically he said I'm getting an SR1911 in, do you want it? I said, yes whats the price. He indicated he would know when it arrived (which is in a couple days, for sure), but that he doesn't gouche, I'm thinking 669.00? I want it but I can wait. I really like the guy and the way he does business, I paid 459 for my SR9c, so I'm thinking about 30-40 dollars more than it would normally sell for. Eliminating lack of supply, I think the fair price for this piece should be about 630.00 then a brick and mortar premium of 30-40 dollars. Not sure how variable the wholesale prices are on firearms but I'm pretty sure dealers pay about 590 for these. A price of 669 sounds good to me

Have the prices gone up so soon? They were selling for $599 when they were introduced.

It's ridiculous on the prices. Currently on gb, there are buy it nows for $849 and $899, whether they get it or not is yet to be seen. As far as actual bids, they are at $755, $765 with several days left on the auction ! Some dealers are making a fortune on them, but can't get many, if any for a while! From what I've seen and been told, anything much over $700-$750 and your dealer is just taking full advantage of low supply high demand to make some added profit.

As much as I wanted an all metal American made SR1911, I got fed up reasons for the delays. I'm picking up a new Colt XSE tomorrow. Yes it cost more but I'll have it and enjoy shooting it.

A significant portion of buyers were able to secure that price initially. I was told their production levels are 60/day. Someone from another forum posted an email from the CEO indicating they made significant manufacturing/production improvements. It would be interesting to see the market a few years from now..

I was lucky enough to get one as a favor for a favor and was charged $600.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.
