What does the group think of this Total Nylon Jacket ammo?(TNJ)Concept sounds good......I guess.

I'll buy it for my Glock 7 only if it penetrates a bullet-proof vest, like teflon-coated ammo does!

This is my favorite part of the pitch:
Premium-quality, 115-grain round-nose lead bullets are coated with a Total Nylon Jacket (TNJ) to replace expensive copper jackets.
But we'll be damned if we're gonna pass the savings on to you!

    At $11-$12 a box, I'll skip these.

In the late 70s-early 80s , S&W first came out with their Nyclad line of lead hollow-point bullets with nylon jackets to offer LEOs an affordable ammo that was effective on the street , economical for lots of practice , and cut down on airborne lead on indoor ranges. It was a very effective and economical bullet (initially), did indeed cut airborn lead , but the manufacturing process became quite expensive due to the high number of rejected bullets. The patented manufacturing rights were sold to Federal , who tried to resurrect the line when the price of copper was sky high.

Don't know whose making it now for Herters/Cabelas.

The box shows a "Blazer" logo in the corner, so it could be a joint venture or under contract. Or, they're just buying the Blazer casings from CCI.
Kinda weird because you can get regular ol' Blazers for $8-$10/box.

The only attraction I see would be reduced barrel wear.

Hopefully someone was wise enough to make them slightly oversized ,I know the old Nyclad federal ammo was very inaccurate unless you had a tight right on spec. barrel If not they were as inaccurate as any other undersized lead bullet
