Cost of 45acp 3/14/12
I was in walmart recently and was literally shocked to see the cost of 45acp. One of the reasons i went with 40s&w over 45acp was the price tag as well as capacity increase. 40s&w isn't even cheap, but it was still 5-7$ a box cheaper than 45acp, which altogether is anywhere from 7-12 dollars a box more than 9mm.
At walmart in Mt. Pocono, the cost of WWB 50 round 40s&w was 17.95.
--------------------------- the cost of WWB 50 round 45acp was 18.95.
WTF happened? It looks like two things happened. 40s&w went up about a $1.50 - $2.00 and it looks like 45acp went down about $4-6....
Am I going crazy or is anyone else seeing this?

Walmart is the only place I know of that has raised the price of ammo over the past 3 years.
Buy cases online, it's cheaper. Or, buy from a shop that has prices similar to Walmart. Walmart is still at the low end, but they haven't been the cheapest for some time.

I shoot Tulammo exclusively (non SD) and prices are very good. I cant find prices that come close to these online.
My local walmart has:
Tulammo 7.62x39mm and .223 Rem - 20rds $4.95
Tulammo 9mm - 50rds $9.95
Tulammo .40 - 50rds $13.95
Tulammo .45 - 50rds $14.95
never had any problems in any of my rifles or pistols.Last edited by em2b96p; March 14th, 2012 at 08:21 PM. Reason: spelling
