I've been seeing this girl for about a month now. Great girl; funny, smart, and a generally good attitude. We've talked guns before, and she knows that I carry. She never really said much about it, and had declined to go shooting with me last week. I didn't think much of it, as it was cold that day. Well, it was warm today, so I wasn't wearing a jacket over the 1911 as I normally do in the winter. I went to pick her up for an evening out on the town, but apparently that wasn't in the cards tonight. I arrived at her house at 6:30 this evening.

Me: You ready to rock?
Her: Yeah, but, uh, what's the deal with that? (pointing at the gun)
Me: I need more than my beard and a Honda Civic to keep a pretty thing like you safe, don't I?
Her: You should cover it up then.
Me: It's warm out, and besides, I don't have the right holster for that particular request.
Her: Well I'm not going out into public like that. This isn't the wild west.
Me: That's fine. Goodbye.
Her: Wait! Are you really leaving?
Me: No, I'm just going to pick out your wedding ring.


And I left. Called another girl and took her out to dinner instead. She had a 642 IWB at 3 o'clock
