I downloaded a software program for a quick fix of the files. The pictures should be a good size for download and viewing now.
What happened was, the firing pin slipped past the retaining pin on the bolt. It looks like the bump on the firing pin is worn down and is allowing it to slip past. Its hard to tell from the picture.

Apart from the rifle being partially disassembled, I couldn't see anything wrong (and nothing specifically was explained). Perhaps one shouldn't try firing a partially disassembled rifle?
