Default PM-9 & CCI, So what happened here?

Have put close to 200 thru already of UMC, no problems other then the usual FTF until Kahr's recommend 200 break-in.

I've noticed that when I insert a magazine, release the slide, pull the magazine out and insert another round to fill it, insert mag. shoot first round, shell ejects, next trigger pull........CLICK!......empty barrel. I have to pull the side to bring the next round up manually!

Just came back from shooting, thought I'd load it up at home, pull the slide, ejecting the shell in the barrel thus loading from the mag. When I go to pull the slide back again, the SHELL ejects, the bullet stays in the barrel and there's powder all through the PM-9.

Was it me not being able to cycle as fast as a blow-back? Or the ammo. I know a lot don't like Wolf, but I didn't think CCI was that back. Am I wrong?

    Help?

Are you sure that the magazine is fully seated? Try pulling down on the magazine after inserting the fresh magazine to see if it is locked in place.

check to see if there is rifling marks on the bullet that remained in the barrel, if so, the round may have been loaded "long" at the factory, meaning the bullet was not seated in the shell properly to proper length.

since the rounds are not advancing, its possible they are rubbing (the nose or casehead), check the CCI loads against another brand of 9mm FMJ of the same weight for length differences.

I've seen it before with various brands of ammo, it happens.

if no marks are seen on the bullet, and length is right, no other idea springs to mind immediately

How old is the PM-9? I presume, from your description of 200 rounds through it, that it's fairly new to you - what I mean is when was in manufactured? You can probably call Kahr. The only reason I mention this is at one point early on they were having feed ramp issues with some of their guns. That doesn't really explain the round that came apart, but it might explain the feeding issue.

Kahr's a good carry gun if you don't want to hide a bigger one. I have two P-9s and two PM-9s. I will warn you, though, they don't appear to be a 20,000 round gun (or 15,000 round for that matter). I have about 8,000 rounds or so through one of my P-9s and it's starting to loosen up a bit. The rounds still go where they should if I do my part, but there's some wobble and play in the frame to slide fit. In dry fire drills, there is a perceptible drop (the front of the slide drops towards the frame a tiny bit after the trigger is pulled).
