Renting Rifles?
Anyone know of a range that rents rifles? I've never fired one and just got into excersing my 2a rights in the last 6 months. I'd like to try a couple of rifles and see if I'm interested in owning any.
Oh and I'm in the somerton area of Philly but am willing to drive up to an hour to try it out.
Thanks

Re: Renting Rifles?
Somerton, huh? That puts you close to Classic Pistol (www.classicpistol.com) in Southampton. They have one of the nicest ranges in the area. Give them a call to check about what rifles they have available for rent and what their rates are. If you don't own a gun, you'll need to have a buddy with you to rent -- and you'll find that's a common policy for many ranges in the area.

Re: Renting Rifles?
22 rifles are nice guns to start out on
are you thinking more of a hunting rifle or more of a tactical type

Re: Renting Rifles?
Been to Classic pistol a few times(x3) but always freaking crowded. Always a minimum of 45 minutes wait time and don't have that time to spare usually, but will have to try and allocate extra time if they do rent rifles.
If and when I decide to get one I'd like it to be an overall good rifle, hunting/home/outside defense. Most likely guessing there's no one will do it all kinda rifle but since it's my first I'd like be able to accomplish multiple tasks as I don't have the money to go buying one for each task. Been reading to much into Obama staying as president and his plans on cutting back our 2A rights. I'd like to get in before I can't get in no more.

Re: Renting Rifles?
The long guns Classic has for rent are:
Daniels Defense AR15
Mossberg 12 gauge
Ruger 10/22
Ruger Mini 14
Crickett .22
AK 47
Cost is $20.00 for the rental + ammo + $20.00 per hour range time. The .22 caliber rifles are $15.00 per hour range time.

Bit of a hike, but they have hundreds of rental guns including full auto.
"X is what percentage of Y?" Divide the first number by the second, multiply the answer by 100. Add a percent sign. Think.
