New member. Just got my first pistol. Any info on it?
Hi everyone, I am new here and new to the state of PA. I picked up my first handgun at the york gun show last weekend and was able to hit the range with it last night. The pistol is a Beretta 92G Elite. When looking online for information I constantly run into the Elite II and sometimes the Elite 1A but almost nothing about just the Elite. It only came with one 10 rd mag in it and no case or anything. Does anyone have any information on the model? I am curious for a spec sheet or something like that. Also, what are some fun things I can get for it? Thanks a lot.
EDIT: I guess a photo would make everyone happy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beretta_92
Elite I
(1999–2001)
Pistols with this option include the heavier Brigadier bruniton slide with front serrations and Elite designation, Inox finish (silver) stainless barrel, thin skeletonized hammer, and bevel of the magazine well. A flat hammer spring cap was standard as well as the decock only (G-Model) feature and dovetailed front sight. It was introduced in 1999 and replaced by the Elite II option in 2001.Μολὼν λάβε

That's a fine looking pistol. I love the model 92's, how did it shoot? Wiki has a little info on that model here:

Oh those are terrible pistols! You should sell it to me just so you don't have to go through the agony of owning one. I'll give you $1.
Congrats on the new pistol. Have fun and be safe!

it's almost the same pistol that is issued thru out the military. not my cup of tea, but know a few guys that like them.
when i was in the marine corps i went thru a course in quantico VA called the "high risk personnel" course. alot of stuff that is taught in the art of the dynamic handgun series is taught at the school. that was the gun i used at the course and it worked well but like i said, not my cup of tea.Last edited by nick060200; March 5th, 2012 at 09:37 PM.

Thanks for the info guys.
If it's really that terrible maybe I can just pay you a little bit to take it off my hands.
I don't have much experience to know how well it shot, but my much more experienced friend seemed to like it, there were no issues, and I had a lot of fun, so that's all that matters right?

IMPO you can never go wrong with a Beretta 92. There are smaller pistol but none as pleasant in your hand and easier to shoot if you have mid to big size hands. I just luv my 92s/96s smooth as butter and reliable right out of the box. Its my bug out guns along with my Glocks if I had to leave one I'd be carry the Beretta. Good 1st choice.
