Steel Fun Shoot + Side Match
If you like shooting very fast, steel shooting will be one of your favorites. Shoot an array of 5 steel plates of various shapes and sizes as fast as possible. Time penalties are applied for misses. One plate is designated as the stop plate, which must be hit last. A match consists of 5 different stages. Each stage is shot 5 times, for a match total of 125 rounds. Run times are added up, along with any penalties, and the quickest shooter wins the match.

Re: Steel Fun Shoot + Side Match
I also had a really good time, I'm a big fan of the half day format while still keeping the round count up.
I enjoyed it to the nth degree more than the last USPSA match I went to.
I also liked that you touched up the steel between competitors, really made it nice to be able to see where the rounds were hitting.Because I can't fit Catman in my pocket.

2012 STEEL MATCHES www.steelshooters.com
Can see the Steel League schedule posted on the above site.
Might not be the same format that New Holland shot this past weekend? Steel league are shooting the static plates, no falling steel normally.
LPRGC had a fun steel shoot last year, dunno if they are doing it again this year or not. Check with the clubs around you to see if they have anything on their calendar. The problem with shooting Chinese bullets is 15 minutes later you wanna shoot again.
