Re: FFL transfer in Bucks County?
Can anyone give me a quick answer to this question... Do I call Cathy first and let her know I would like to do business with her and then buy the gun from Buds? Or do I do it in reverse, buy first and then inform her I used her as my transfer FFL?
I haven't made a purchase yet and am unsure on the process.
Buds says that she is not one of their preferred dealers which means it will take longer? They claim that using preferred dealers will "expedite" the process. So if I use her how long am I looking at waiting?
Sorry if this is seen as jacking the thread, it's just a few things I was curious about and didn't want to spam a new thread for the same general question.

Re: FFL transfer in Bucks County?
If the other FFL doesn't know her and have her information, at very least there will have to be an exchange of information / faxing of licenses, etc. between the two. The delay can be between nothing and however long it takes for them to get ahold of one another.
If you went with someone they know (probably Tanner's) all you do is tell the recipient it's coming via phone or email, watch the tracking, and go get it when it arrives (Tanner's also calls you).
Once the relationship is established between the two dealers, things can move quicker for future purchases / purchasers. I'd go with whatever shop is closest to home / work for you.

Re: FFL transfer in Bucks County?
I would call her first just to be safe. I called her first when using her to do my transfer from cdnn. They didnt have an updated copy of her ffl on file so she had to email them a copy of the renewed one...It only took a week or less to get the rifle without even having the updated ffl so I wouldnt worry about what buds says. I did this transfer just a few months ago. Leave a message if she doesnt answer right away i've called a few time and always had to leave a message for her to get back to me.

Re: FFL transfer in Bucks County?
I second the recommendation on calling her first. That way she knows how to contact you when she gets the package.
