Default Broken Remington 870 ejector spring

Hello all. Here’s my problem, I picked up a Remington 870 Magnum (that’s what the receiver says as pictured below) about 5 years ago at a gun show, the other day I was shooting and I tried to chamber another round but the forend wouldn’t go forward. When I looked in the receiver the ejector spring was broke. I haven’t done much research online, but I found an ejector spring at (http://www.brownells.com) but they don’t sell it in Express only “870 Standard Weight- 12, 16, 20”. So my question is…would that work? Or does someone know of another site that sells them. Should I also pick up both front and back ejector rivets for the gunsmith correct? And does anyone know what this sort of thing would cost to repair? I’ve looked on the Remington website and I guess I’m going to have to ship it out to one gunsmiths they have listed. Thanks in advance.

Remington makes one ejector for the .410 870 shotgun.

They also make one for the 20, 16 and 12 gauge 2 3/4" chamber guns.

The one YOU NEED is for the 20, 16 and 12 gauge guns chambered for 3" magnum shells

Gun Parts Corp. sells them for a decent price.

Yes, you should also buy the front and rear ejector rivets for this install. I would do this work for around $20 give or take a few dollars depending on if the Pittsburgh Penguins won their last game. Other gunsmiths have different pricing methods.

The good news is that this is a rather rare deal. The new ejector should give you MANY trouble free years.

    Enjoy your Rem. 870.
