Re: how long before you are considered a resident?
The moment a person establishes residency, ie: actually moves here and intends to live here full time.
He has 15days to change is drivers license, change vehicle registration, and get car inspected. His PA issued DL will be proof enough for the state. Some sheriffs are dicks and require proof of payment on local taxes, utilities, etc too.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag

Re: how long before you are considered a resident?
when i moved here in 2010 i went to the dmv and then a month later bought my pistol and applied for ltcf both were approved no questions asked about how long i lived here.
in fact my drivers license issue date in 3-12 and my ltcf issue date is 4-23.
hard to think i've been living here for 2 years this week.WHEN DEMOCRACY TURNS TO TYRANNY, THE ARMED CITIZEN STILL GETS TO VOTE

To run for office for an elected position, you have to have had residency within the borough/township/county for at least one year. Other than that, there's no minimum residency requirement.

Re: how long before you are considered a resident?
I moved here officially almost a year ago. I remember when I went to the DMV and got my PA drivers license, they gave me some temp. license while their software did a check to see if I had any other DL in other states (this is standard protocal). During those 2 weeks that it took to receive my permanent DL in the mail, I tried to purchase my Sig, and they said I had to put it on layaway in the store and pick it up after my permanent DL arrived.
I imagine that had I tried to apply for the LTCF during this two week period, I'd been told to wait until the permanent license was received.
I thought it was pretty stupid that I had to wait, but that's how they do it I guess.
