Default Already have PA LTCF, but just moved into Philadelphia...

My PA LTCF was issued in Delaware County. What process do I have to go through to change the address on it to my current residence in Philadelphia?

    Thanks!

Your LTCF is fine with your Delco address on it until you have to renew it. Then you do so in Philly at the PPD gun permit unit.

You should notify the Delco sheriff though about your new address.

The only caveat is that if a hardass cop wants to be a real dick, they'll hassle you about the address being different on your LTCF compared with your driver's license.

If you call the Delco sheriff, they're going to change your address in the system, and that same hardass might have a problem with your addresses not matching up.

There is no statutory requirement that I'm aware of that says you have to change your LTCF address when you move, and no requirement that you must inform Philadelphia's GPU that you've moved into the city.

Unless they have changed things in the last couple years...when you submit change of address to PennDOT they send you a "sticky note" to keep with your drivers license....you don't actually change the DL itself until time to renew. So until that time, the two will still match.
