finally got all of the paper work in for an expungement. the D.A. wanted a court hearing for it so i had to go in front of a judge. Went to the hearing and the judge was kinda short with the D.A. Whole hearing took maybe 10 minutes if even that long. Judge said he needed to review a case and that he would let us know of his decision. Got a call from my lawyer about 3 days later saying the judge signed off on it. The paperwork has to sit in the Clerk of Courts for 30 days before being forwarded to all agencies to have my record destroyed. Those 30 days are up and now it is being sent to all agencies. They said it could take up to 6 months for everything to be destroyed. So now its just a waiting game and saving money to buy my 1st gun once my record is destroyed.

finally my record is clear and now I should have the money to buy a gun in a couple of weeks. still debating on what I should get.

Good job. It sounded like that was a pain in the ass, but its over now. I would make sure you have a copy of the judgement for expungement. Some sort of paper work just in case someone didn't get the memo about it it being cleared. Good luck.
