Depending what cut you have in the slide, Novak does make low profile adj. sights.
If your slide has no cut, Novak will cut the slide and install the sights.

Put a Bo-mar style sight on it. Infinity makes the best Bo-mar style sights on the market today.

Big dots work at close range, they suck at medium to long range. If your eyesight is good avoid big dots at all costs. Cooper got stuck in time and let the pratical shooting community pass him by like a Ferrari passes a Yugo.

I use novak adjustable and fixed syltes -never had a problem with either also have novak fiber optic adjustable -really it depends on your eyesight and at what ranges you plan to shoot, my novaks work fine out to 100 yards after that I need a rifle anyways. Bomar stlye work fine too. Brian /EFR

I was ringing quarter sized ipsc plates at about 110 yards with a big dot sighted gun the other week. People need to stop blaming their sights for them being crappy shooters.

And yes cooper was stuck in time, but this is also a thread about sights for a custom antique pistol which i assume will be used to play "1930's border patrol". Since you can't get elephant ivory front sights anymore, big dots are the way to go.

not sure what you mean by antique, other than the 1911 design is over 100 years old?

This is a new built custom 1911. Will probably only see the range, 25 yards at most.
