Is it really a surprise that companies, like governments, make policies to try to prevent people from doing something that the organization in question does not want them to do?

How about creating a "Suicide Only" lane. They charge your credit card like $1000 (who cares how much, you will be dead in like 5 min anyway) and direct you to a segregated lane with no carpet, floor drains and walls suited for high pressure washdown. Put an outside access door in so the coroner can get in there to remove the body without dragging it out over the carpeted areas of the shop.
Heck, you wouldn't even need a target lane, just a good backstop.
