I am looking at doing something similar as well. If I get the M&P9 I may also pick up the M&P22 as a trainer for some plinking and lower cost range shooting.
It's called "WORK" for a reason, they wouldn't pay you for it if it was fun.

You like 1911's, right? Hopefully one of us has our Kimber Rimfire next time we see you at the range. Not all of the Rugers have a great trigger, though they are usually quite accurate. One of the ones we had in the class has a great trigger, one is pretty rough, and the others in between.

Yes, the 617 is a bit pricey. If you keep your eyes open, you can occasionally stumble onto a decent one for under $500, which is how I got mine.

Got it. In fact it is really hard for people to drop that word, especially if they are ex-military. Just keep keep correcting yourself avery time and sooner or later you'll get there

We just picked up a browning Buckmark and hope to get out and start breaking it in soon.

I'm almost afraid to try out the Kimber because then we might want one!

Enjoy the Buckmark! Yes, if you shoot the Kimber, you will want one....

I'm actually taking a class this Sunday with Dean and Paul. I've been a member of NCCSC for awhile and have spoken with them at several meetings. Seem like two stand up guys and their input during the meetings is thoughtful and direct.

My sister in law is attending the class with me based on a conversation with other members of the club reporting back the same thing as the OP.

I'll post up a review after class on Sunday.

Just completed our class with Paul and Dean and I was very impressed with the information provided as well as the manner it was presented.

Class was evenly attended by both male and female students and the majority of the class was new to shooting. The instructors took the time to clearly explain all the topics covered, they were patient with each student and could not have been been any nicer to the class. The flow of the class was steady and they presented the information in a manner that kept everyone's attention. If you've ever attended an all day class you know this is not easy to do.

I would highly recommend taking their class! I'm aware that there are similar classes offered in the SEPA area but after attending this class I can honestly say I would not recommened attending a class anywhere else.

I am in no way affiliated with either of these gentlemen and have no vested interest in their training business. I just know of other folks that have taken the same class at different venues and heard the feed back from them.

Thank you for the information and I look forward to taking a class with you in the future.

    Respectfully

    TDSjr
