Default Any reason NOT to mount a light on a go-to shotgun?

My Mossberg 930 SPX and Remington 870 Tactical are my go-to shotguns but only the 930 has a light on it. I've been considering adding the same Elzetta light mount with Streamlight Polytac I have on the 930 to the 870 but so far, the only reason I can come up with is that it's going to cost about $75. I have the money to spend, I'm just being kind of cheap (totally uncharacteristic of me!). What do you think? Buy it?

My preciouses. Molly (930) and Chloe (870).

If you like neglegently killing shadowy figures, then by all means, do not mount a light on your home defense shotgun.

I would. In the middle of the night you might grab the one without the light. I put a tlr3 on my sxp.

I would mount a light. I can't see a reason not to. Nice shotties by the way.
I also like that whole zen thing you got going there.
    Some people just plain suck.

Zen and shotguns can, ah... go together. Some nice looking shotguns. I agree with everyone above, looking at your setups, I'm not sure you have a reason NOT to put one on.

Buy it. For me, Go-To implies ready for immediate use under any circumstances. Seeing in the dark is a good thing.

    Disclaimer: I don't know sh*t

    As far as lights go...

I do not think I'd want a light that I couldn't just 'blip' on while having the gun ready. I certainly would not want to want to defend my home with it constantly on. I know what is, and what is not supposed to be in my house. If my wife and kids are in their beds, a shadowy figure is definitely out of place. A shadowy figure creeping upstairs to where the bedrooms are located? Um, yeah.

I'd rather have sights on the SPX that are useful in the dark.

Which sling adapters are you using, MI or GG&G?

Use a light, I also have a TRL-3 on my 590A1 for now, but am thinking about a forward grip with a built in.

My wife and children sometimes get out of bed in the middle of the night. They don't always turn on the light.
I am lucky I have a couple dogs that help me know if someone is in my home who dosen't belong there.
