Funny Encounter

I was down at the local video store yesterday evening. My wife is wandering up and down the aisles somewhere, I'm chatting with the proprietess - a friend of ours.

An employee popped in with a video, there was some discussion between the owner and a missing video, and the employee rushed off to locate same. In exasperation, the proprietess, shaking her head, said, "I need a gun."

Me, being the ever-helpful friend, opened my coat and said, "Here you go."

At that point the shop owner placed her head on the counter, laughing uncontrollably. Another customer, observing the whole thing, giggled at the situation.

My wife showed up and said, "I can't take you anywhere, can I?"

I guess you had to be there.

I'm lost, how could she talk to the video if it was missing.

I want to know more about these videos that can engage in conversations -- especially when they aren't even there ...

I asked myself the same thing. I decided it was more fun to assume a medication interaction caused her to believe she was seeing the astral form of the video and holding a conversation with it.

There, now I've got it correct. Better I should have used OWNER.

As for the talking videos, they're the DVDs that need to be rewound.
