My first day carrying
Since my LTCF came in the mail yesterday, I figured why wait.
I have been carrying my CZ-75 at home for a little while now tucked shirt in a CZ iwb holster at 4 O'clock. Cheap but comfy. Belt clip is rock solid. The gun doesn't move at all. Sitting, walking, bending over, running up stairs, whatever.
Well five minutes went past after opening my letter containing my ltcf that I grabbed my coat and took a walk around the block with a big smile. Soon after went browsing for a new couch. All that plopping down on like 30 couches and nary a slip.
Coming into the evening we dropped our little guy off at my parents house for our weekly range session at The Firing Line. Open carried there of course. Sent a few hundred rounds down range with our CZ collection.
Next we actually got to go eat afterwards without our 30 minute ride home to unload everything, we stopped at the Whitehall Diner for some grub. Boy did that feel good.
Went to our booth. I always face the door so weak side was facing out. Took my coat off to eat. Check came, I said screw it. Stood up and OC'd for about 8 seconds lol. Put my cost on and we paid. Was thinking of walking up to pay OCing but refrained.
Not next time though. Can't wait to get a proper leather duty style holster. Either a Safariland, Galco, or Fist. Need to give The Beltman a call as well. Warm weather is coming and I really don't feel like concealing.
And before anyone says it. I am looking into some proper retention training too.

Good stuff, thanks for carrying.
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

Sounds like a good day and a confidence booster at that. And nobody got shot while you were putting your jacket on! *gasp*
Congrats.

Congrats to you. You must have a well behaved gun, since it didn't leap out of the holster and start shooting orphans and nuns.
When the weather starts to get warmer, I suggest you head down to Easton Fish and Game. There's this place on Freemansburg Ave (John's?) that has applications, or you can join on their website. It's a decent range, and the price is better than going to the firing line constantly.
