    Default Original 1911 price question

Hi, not sure if this is the right place for this but yeah; I'm looking at a Colt 1911 .45 Govt. with slide numbering somewhere in the 167,000 range, which from what I can find shows it was made in 1917. The gun is in very good condition and has the original holster and paperwork showing it was bought from the federal government in the 60's for $17. Anybody have an idea of what this firearm might be worth or what a fair price would be? Thank you.

Is it blued (original) or parkrerized(arsenal refinish)?

Either way , $1500 is a starting point.

Definitely blued, looks like just a bit of slight holster wear near front of firearm.

I'm no expert by any means, but the owner of a local gun store that I know showed me a 1911 from 1912 with a 5 digit serial number. No rust, and the blueing was almost complete except for the backstrap. He paid $2,000 for it, and said he had a buyer willing to pay $5,000.
