Hi All,

I'm getting ready to work up some loads for my 40 S&W. Thinking about various powders and am looking for ones that produce minimal muzzle flash. The gun that I will be loading for is a Taurus PT 24/7 G2 with the 4.2" barrel.

I had some Unique that I have been using with 155gr XTP's just to develop a feel for the gun. Now that I have about 300 rounds through it, I want to develope a good load as far as grouping. My research has only muddled the effort in choosing a powder since there are so many that will work.

I was intrigued with the LongShot because of the lower pressure needed to get to the 1200 fps level and also, the greater variation in powder weight that can be used. If Hodgon's claim is correct that this powder works regardless of the volume in the case, it should be a good all around powder if it doesn't have a large muzzle flash.

I would like to know if anyone has experience with it? How it might work when using a Lee Auto Disc and how much muzzle flash developed?

Also, lets throw into the mix, Winchester's AutoComp.

Any help would be appreciated.
