You need to go to the sheriff in your county, which by your location is Lancaster. Getting one here is very easy. You can go down to the courthouse, park along the street, drop in two quarters and enter the courthouse on the Duke Street Side.

Go through the guard station, turn right and go halfway down the hall. Make a left in to the sheriff's office and fill out the paper work there. Give them $20 and wait until they run the check, get your picture taken and walk back out.

    Very easy.

You have to apply in the county where you reside.

The LTCF (License To Carry Firearms) is valid statewide though.

No, the license is for you to carry any pistol (concealed or in a vehicle) that you have or may purchase, it is not for buying. They don't need to know anything about the firearms you own or may buy.

There is no need for any serial numbers of anything.

    Here's the info on Lancaster's office: http://www.co.lancaster.pa.us/sherif...&sheriffsNav=|

You can download the application and fill it out ahead of time and take it in there. Bring $20 cash, as that's the easiest way. You'll be in an out in no time, they're pretty efficient down there.

I strongly urge you to become very familiar with the firearms laws of Pennsylvania. This is a good start. http://paopencarry.org/pdfs/Pennsylvania_Gun_Rights.pdf

Stick around and learn. Welcome to the forums.

My Sheriff's office has a book of PA firearms laws that is about 100 pages long available on a table for free. When you go, ask about it.
