They are plenty good enough for a "real AR-15". I have a GG&G steel set I don't like as much.

To the OP. Nice build. But have you considered a way to blend the stock and YHM Diamond as well? Maybe even just some light white/grey camo lines or something to help blend it in with the upper/lower. Like with a hobby airbrush?

I know several people that have them and they seem to love them. The fact that it costs the same price for a set as it does for one rear sight of Troy or Samson make, I'd say that it's worth a shot. Don't put them on a gas block though; plastic and heat are not good bed fellows.

That's good to know, I was just unsure how well they take a beating while maintaining zero/staying on the rail. Now talking about the heat would it get too hot on the front of a quad rail for the Magpul BUIS?

I'd don't believe so. The heat is directly transferred to the plastic when mounted to the gas block. But there is enough space between the rail and gas system that while it will still get warm, it will not melt.

    1. Free float tubes by nature don't get hot. They don't touch the barrel or gas system parts.

    2. We don't put sights on junk ass drop in hand guards...

ETA: Just saw the model number on the receiver. FALLOUT15.

Come to think of it, shouldn't they be BUPS, not BUIS???
