Default PT 92 or PT 1911

If you had to choose one, would it be the PT 92 9mm 17 + 1 rds., or the PT 1911 .45 ACP 8 + 1 rds. I already have the PT 92, but I don't shoot it much, anymore, as my favorite shooters are .45 ACP. We are going to a show this weekend and I am debating whether or not to take the 92 and trade for a 1911. Ammo cost is not an issue, so rule that out. What cannot be ruled out is it is the 92 plus $280 for the model PT 1911 I want. Any thoughts?

You would do better selling the PT92 privately.

    PT92 is a proven design.
1911 is also a proven design.

I'm part considering PT1911 with rail, so I say go with PT1911...

It basically is; it is through a guy that I have done business with before, and he is giving me about $50 than the gun is worth, plus it eliminates any red tape, which pleases my wife since she is a little on the paranoid side. The $280 includes tax and fees after trade.

Yes, I want one too. I do not have a railed 1911, yet. I guess I am stuck on the round count more than anything. It is a tough de'cide for me.

Edit: probably shouldn't worry about round count, so much. If the SHTF, it is only a matter of time, anyway, 18 rds or 9.

Yea, I agree, I have a few PT 1911's and I love them all. They work very well; I just don't have one with a rail, and the PT 92 has a rail, but it holds a butt load more rds.

PT 92 dressed up in that Chrome SS and Gold trigger, hammer and slide release , there is a picture of one just recently posted. Beautiful version of the 92.

I alrealdy have serveral 1911s the PT1911 though a bargain is not a gun that I'm looking for. Though I will suggest them to friends who want a Good bargain 1911 with almost all the shooting comforts, the SS version is really impressive. Just a Rail I don't know.

You have numerous 1911s and just one PT92, and of your 1911s 5 r 6 are PT1911s is there that big a difference in the one you want and the ones you already own. i could see trading for SA or a fancy Kimber or Colt but for another PT1911????

1911 mag is half the price of 92's.
With magwel, you can reload super fast.
Besides, pistol should be aside arm, and hopefuly, during the SHTF, you won't be alone to back you up while you reload...
