May 18-19 (Fri-Sat) 2012

Mifflin County Sportsmen's Association, Lewistown PA (lodging and breakfast/lunch in the clubhouse are available)

Distances: Zero distance to 1025 Yards.

The course is an extremely detailed look at important aspects of long distance precision shooting. It includes blocks of instruction on: fitting equipment to you, ballistics, trajectory, BRM, Using a MIL or MOA reticle, range estimation, and how to record and benefit from prior engagement data. There is online pre-course assignment work, classroom study, and instructed live fire exercises. 75 rounds minimum per day.

Students will fire from zero distance out to 1025 Yards. Full darkness night fire exercises are also conducted as a taste of what is covered in more advanced courses. Students will also have the opportunity to take the Army or USMC Sniper School Unknown Distance test to see how they stack up.

We conduct this course from a "teach a man to fish" mindset. Although we will have every student hitting at a thousand yards by the end of this course, that really isn't our goal. We want to equip you with as full of an understanding as possible of what is involved in each aspect of making those hits, so you can return to do it again and again, on your own.

We all meet at a local place for dinner Thursday to get to know one another. This is a great time.

Thanks, and please contact us if you have any questions about the course, gear or the facility.

Cheers,
