SERPA HOLSTER QUESTION
I just bought the serpa holster but then seen on youtube a lot oh bad reveiws, do you feel that its a good holster or a bad holster, I seem to like it so far but dont know about the locking mechanism, is it really that risky? I dont see how anything could get in it while OCing. seems very well made!!!

Re: SERPA HOLSTER QUESTION
You COULD be attacked by a yeti too.
I guess it depends on what you think of the odds.
As for the whole "ripping it off of you" argument - I buy THAT more than I buy that a wittle pebble is gonna get in there and jam it.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: SERPA HOLSTER QUESTION
I carry my XDM 3.8 9mm in one. Lay your finger flat on the release and no problems. The video I saw they made it clear not to use your finger tip to release.

Re: SERPA HOLSTER QUESTION
I've used one for OC for at least 2-3 years now and never had one issue. Can a malfunction happen, sure can! Nothing is 100% perfect!! I like mine an I have 2 of them.

Re: SERPA HOLSTER QUESTION
Some people claim that it increases the risk of a negligent discharge. The only way I can see this is if you use your fingertip to "push" the button. Just place your flat finger along the frame of your pistol and the lock is released.

Re: SERPA HOLSTER QUESTION
As others have said, keeping your finger flat will all but negate the chances of slippage onto the trigger or into the trigger guard. With my Serpa holster for my Glock, it lines my finger up in exactly the correct position above the trigger guard.

Re: SERPA HOLSTER QUESTION
I am going to use it for your everyday OC, don't think I'll be rolling in any mad or playing with buttons or small pebbles, and the release button is very easy, don't see why you would use the tip of your finger. Thanks guys.

Re: SERPA HOLSTER QUESTION
That whole rip the holster apart thing is bullshit. Someone grabs my gun/holster with the two hands needed to perform that silly maneuver has 0 hands left free to block my right elbow smashing into their nose. Ever been hit in the face by someone's elbow?
The vast majority of the "you don't want that" on the internet comes from people who picture themselves in the middle of fucking Thunderdome. And hey, if you are someone likely to engage in melee over your weapon on a regular basis there are better products. For most people OCing this is a fine holster. It has to start someplace... It has to start sometime...
