anybody else fish?
it's about that time of year.
the creeks are super high, and muddy, the days are just starting to get alittle longer, but it's still cold out.
i'm thinking about warm summer evenings on the creek or out in the river. teh babble of the water just chugging by, the sounds you only hear on a summer evening. ahh 6more months.
smallmouth and panfish on a flyrod is my deal. in years gone by it was not uncommon fro my buddy and i to be out in teh creek 4-5 nights a week. we would typically only leave well after dark. after sending atleast an hour walking back up the creek...in the dark, a flashlight was always to difficult to remember. more often than not we still never bring one, good times indeed.it's only metal, we can out think it....

im really big on bass fishing. i fish tournaments around the area and on the chesepeke. i dont win any, i just fish them. i just bought a boat last year ('96 nitro 884) and i love it. it hauls ass.
i used to do alot of trout fishing in the local creeks, still do some but not as much as i used to.
nothing like some fresh trout on the grill.

Its not cold till they can't catch the steelhead up in the tribs in Erie
Gas prices being so high sure miss going up to Erie to fish for them, by the way always open carry fishing in Erie tribs, really cuts down on people crowding right next to you fishing for some strange reason.
Or maybe it was only my strange fly casting abilties or lack of a good presentation.

Caught a few crappies at Glendale Dam last night with some buddies. They will have their last swim in the fryer tonight.
Looking forward to the crappie spawn this Spring and I might even go after a few trout this year (haven't done that in a couple years.)Every man is my superior in that I may learn from him.

Bass, walleye, panfish
