Default holsters, Wich is the best holster for oc, thoughts and comments

What holster does everyone think is the best holster for OC.I know a retention holder is a must but wich one out there do you feel is most reliable and dependable.

I don't OC, but I have a basic Safairland with the ALS that I use when I go hunting. If you got one of these, with the extra retention features (swivel hood and other doo-dads), you'd be pretty good to go I would guess.

I have a Serpa for my glock 29 and a galco fletch for my 1911. I absolutely love the fletch. It's quality leather and it fits my gun really well and never comes unsnapped. It depends on taste too. My two tone 1911 looks gorgeous in that galco leather. Just go look at a few. Ask to see a shop gun in the holster.

I have 2 galco leather holsters. I like them both. The Serpa Is uncomfortable and I do not like the way the 1911 rides in it.
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

The best holster is the one that holds your firearm securely in a position from which YOU can most easily draw while allowing YOU to maintain the maximum level of control over it.

ie: Blackhawk serpa isn't going to be good for you if crossdraw is what you've found works best for you.

I like leather or horsehide outside the waist belt slide holsters. Either with or without thumb break is fine by me.

I carry my 1911 in a De Santis thumb break scabbard.

Galco Fletch too. I think a 1911 deserves leather

My 1911 always rode in an old Bianchi on my hip, and a WWII OSS convertible 'shoulder' holster otherwise.

With the Springfield XD45 that I carry now, I use the CQC Serpa, but belt-through, no paddle.

If the day ever arrives that I have money again, somebody well-skilled in leather is gonna make me a duplicate of that OSS rig.

Choose a holster with lots of bling on it for OC.
