My shotgun

Hello everybody,

I just became a new member of PAFOA shortly afterwards I moved to Pennsylvania. I'm originally from Illinois, near Missouri, and I moved out here because of my new job. i've been meaning to ask, is it legal to sell my shotgun without providing an FFL? I know that in the state of Pennsylvania I cannot sell a firearm to a person prohibited from purchasing firearms. However, for instance, if I want to sell my shotgun to a friend who is eligible to purchase firearms, I can sell it to him at my house or at his house which would be legal?

In Missouri, that is allowed but I need to be sure if that would be allowed in Pennsylvania... any comments or answers would be a big help! Thanks!

Yes, this is legal with long guns in PA with the condition that you believe the person not to be a prohibited person.

Oh, and welcome to PA, where our gun rights are only moderately infringed upon.

yes. it is ok to sell a long gun without going through a ffl. To be on the safe side, just have a bill of sale with the transaction
