Pittsburgh area?
I'm new to the area and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for shops. I've been only to the big box stores in the area - Dick's, Dunhams, gander mountain and so far I'm disappointed.
I'm looking for somewhere that deals in pistols that isn't GM. To say I was put off with the staff at Robinson gander would be an understatement.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Ace in Washington, PA is one of the bigger shops but there are plenty of good ones all over town.

Re: Pittsburgh area?
I have to say Ace in Washington or John Browns Armory in Rochester. JBA is also a class 3 dealer while Ace has reloading supplies. Service and selection great at both.
www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.

Take a ride out to ACES in Washington Co. You WONT be disappointed, huge selection, very helpful and friendly staff, and great prices. Its probably my favorite gun shop ive ever been to.

Re: Pittsburgh area?
John Browns in Rochester has decent pricing, a good selection of used rifles/shotguns, a decent selection of handguns and can get you just about anything you want in a timely manner. Ammunition selection is adequate. I've always been treated good there.

Re: Pittsburgh area?
Adequate? Come on guy. Their ammo selection is downright dismal. And always has been. Well, back in the day they carried a pretty good reload, but that long since dried up.
Don't get me wrong, I loves me some JBA, and Timmy has always been a great guy. But you don't go there for accessories/ammo/etc. You go there for guns. Which they have a boatload of.It has to start someplace... It has to start sometime...

Re: Pittsburgh area?
I usually stop in Ace once a week or so after work just to browse around. Decent prices and very friendly staff.
If you know what you want and dont mind waiting to get it...I've also delt with Gunrunners in Canonsburg, small shop, nice guy went out of his way to order a gun for me cheaper than anywhere else I could get it. But will talk your ear off

Check out Bravermans in wilkinsburg, good selection and their prices are usually better than the ones already listed.
