Did you go shooting today (Pic thread)

Made it to the range yesterday. Took my friend from NJ, who I helped when he decided to buy a gun there. He wound up getting a CZ (not sure of the model). But since he wasn't going directly to the range, we shot my Sig P229. Other than catching my pinkie between a magazine and the mag well, it went pretty well. Targets are at 5 yds, 7 yds, 10 yds, and 25 yds. This was also my first time shooting with magnifying shooting glasses. I could finally see the front site clearly, but the target was fuzzy. My friend also found he liked the Sig's trigger better than his CZ's.

No pics but my son and I both got to shoot a muzzleloader for the first time, and he shot clays with a 12GA shotgun for the first time, the first guns over a 22 that he's ever fired. Did great with both, hit the target in 1 out of 3 shots from about 15 yards with the muzzleloader. I only shot it once, about a quarter an inch to the right of the bulleye.

We also threw hatchets and shot archery. He was the only person out of 37 boy scouts and adults who stuck a hatchet in the playing card and had the high score...as a first year scout. Proud of the boy.

Camped in a freaking monsoon too.

Wheel gun day today. Continued testing the Tracker in 44mag I got anf put in some practice with my LCR.

No pics, but I went to my local indoor range to mess around with some of my .22lr pistols; Browning Buck Mark and Ruger MKII. Shooting 1.5” black circles at 10 yards.....even did a few at 15 yards.

Went to an indoor range today to shoot the AR-22. Zeroed the carry handle rear and front flip-up sights with CCI standard velocity 40gr. She runs well and seems accurate. Bench will tell the story, when I get to it.

A friend was visiting from the UK for a wedding.

He's been watching soccer nonstop for a week so I asked him if he would like to do a range day.

He said that would be outstanding.

Today, I packed 9 pistols and 4 rifles into the car and we drove the 50 minutes to PMSC.
I signed him in as a guest and went up to a pistol bay.

Safety brief. Stance, grip, load, sight alignment and picture, trigger manipulation.

We stayed about 4 hours. I told him to let me know if he wanted to stop. He never indicated that he did. Ha.

Did most shooting from the 5 to 7 yard range but took him back to 20 for a couple steel targets and rifles.

Weather was perfect. He seemed to like the Glock 17 and Colt 1991A1. Not so much on the Ruger Redhawk. Ha. He lost the grip on the .44 but hung onto it. Preferred the SW model 66 with .38's
