Ugh, how many times does it have to be said? An AR-15 is not high powered.

Shot our first match together. Didn't go so well due to the goofy but ok squadding at New Holland. I wouldn't go as far as saying they are not new shooter friendly, the other shooters were great but one of the guys running it is not helping the sport. I have 15 years of shooting by doz new shooters on that gun, he starts having my son change sights all over the place 5moa at a time at 600. Before that he was on paper and even got a 10. This old far put him off the paper and then told him to stop. Guy would not listen and only once asked for his shot call. It was not just my son he did it to some else closer to his own age. So it disappointing- but the kid did as good as he could, if we squadded normal and I was on his point it would of gone alot better. However much learning was achieved by both of us, he had a great time and I have a new padawan. My fun was again only being 1 shot from a "clean" twice at 300. I just built my gun this spring it's got less then 500 though it but the White Oak 7.5 ratchet L O V E S!! PPU 75gr.
Looks like I'm building a optic upper for my son over the winter. Got to up the ammo budget.

...but just case you’re not, that’s his spotting scope (probably on a tripod) and it’s not attached.

I love New Holland, such a nice range. Bowling alley, but awesome none the less

My dad and I went to our local 200yd range today. Two seasons on this fire hose and its finally giving up. We lost three out of four targets today
