Why, yes I did! Tried out the new AI in some sub freezing weather. Got some great dope on the rifle, and shot a 5 round, 1/4" group at 100 yards.image3.jpg

If you didn't get out today, you should have! beautiful February day, clear, just a little breezy.

Took out a Ruger 77 Scout that I've never been able to keep a group with; spent the couple of days that it didn't get out of the single digits going over everything and found a bur under the scope rail, so no matter how tight the screw was the rail always had some play to it. Got everything put back together, did a rough sight in using some surplus 147 FMJ, and fine tuned for some 168 SGK loads that I've put together in the past. This rifle has never shot below 2MOA with any ammo, ever - so I was happy with today's results (aiming at (7)):

Also ran these 168 through an AR308 that I'd previously sighted in using surplus 147's; turns out the 168s are too long for a PMAG so had to single load these guys; first group was 3 shots aiming at (7), second group was an adjustment and 4 shots aiming at (8):

Here's what the AR308 does with 147's, that's 15 shots aimed as 5x(3) round groups (heh, groups) - the centered shots at right is the (3) shot Ruger group, and (3) shots to the upper left were a (3) shot group aiming at the number 9 with 147s in the AR308:

Took my 9 YO daughter shooting yesterday. She is very hard core considering how cold it was in the morning. She actually got her first brass burn from a 22LR brass that somehow got past her coat and sweatshirt. The brass put a mark on her chest. I didn't know that it made a mark until she showed me today.

I love going shooting with my daughter. I cannot believe that she's been shooting for 5 years.

Man, what a great day to be at the range.

I'm trying to work up a load for my PA10 and have gotten some great advice on here.

I went out to PMSC, set up my chrony, ran a half dozen rounds of 7.62 X 51 R1M1 to make sure I was on paper and then shot 12 groups of 5 rounds with various powder charges. I 'll be changing the optic so didnt adjust it in.

I'm having a problem with flyers and not sure why.

Best group of 4 rounds at 100 yds was just under 3/4" inside to inside and one round up off the edge of the target.

Seems to happen too often. Not sure if it has antthing to do with the milsurp brass I used.

I'll get some factory new and run them again.
