Default Commemorative Henry Lever Action or a decent AR15????

    Hey Y'all!

I have a querstion for all of you out there. Would you rather buy raffle tickets for a Henry Big Boy .45LC or a higher end (thousand dollar range) AR15?

The entire Henry rifle is engraved with the historic people and places of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Here is a link to the rifle-

    http://insitefirearms.com/WhatsHot_mccr.html

The AR15 would be a standard shooting rifle, not all that fancy. It may come with a decent case and a few mags or something.

The raffle tickets for the Henry would be $10.00 each or three for $25.00. The tickets for the AR-15 would be $5.00 each.

I am only trying to see which rifle people would rather buy raffle tickets for. I am NOT trying to sell raffle tickets.

Again, this is just a feeler for an orginization I am a part of. We are thinking of doing this as a fund raiser.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Bad link for Henry rifle.

I would do both if your organization can. You'll get many more participants by appealing to two different groups or minded people.

I would go with the Henry but thats just me.

hmmm a commemorative that will lay in a box under the bed or an AR that will get flogged every weekend?? Hard choice lol, gimme the AR but please make it a Colt, Bravo Company or Daniel Defense....all can be had for the 1K range and are vastly supperior to the Walmart brands (bushmaster,DPMS,Olympic Arms, ETC)

@custom- I fixed the link. We can currently only do one rifle and these are the two "finalists". Some people are nervous about doing the AR being that it is "Evil" (different discussion on a different thread at a later time)

I voted Henry because I want a .45 Colt levergun to go with my Super Redhawk. I don't think you could go wrong either way, to be honest.

I got to go with the Henry. A collector's model with only 11 being made. Not something I could justify buying but would love to own. On the other hand it's not to difficult to find AR15's being raffled off or to justify buying outright.

If it's decided to go with the Henry let me know. I'm in for a few tickets.

    I'd actually prefer a non-bedazzled Henry.

Maybe if the AR-15 had a RDIAS

Nah, but seriously I would rather pay the extra 5 bucks for the Henry ticket and have something that represented where I was from, rather than a regular old black rifle..

Not that the black rifles dont represent us or anything..

I would want a henry that I could actually go to the range with and not cry about using it. But I guess I don't have very fancy tastes. Either would be great. I agree with CL though. Try and do both if you can, I think it will work out best.
