Re: state and county parks.
State Parks is currently only concealed carry.
County Parks from what I understand, unless privately owned, can not stop you from carrying openly or concealed.The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....

Re: state and county parks.
There is a DCNR regulation prohibiting uncased firearm possession in state parks (except in campsites, residences, etc). This prohibition was partially tolled by 18 Pa CS 6109(m.2) which allows CC/vehicle carry for LEOs and licensees - OC was not addressed.
With the passage of "HB40" (Act 2011-10) there is a new section added (m.3) which some have interpreted as a state agency preemption that eviscerates the DCNR regulation. Whether it does or not is a matter of interpretation and will not be 'officially' determined except by additional legislation or case law.

All the state parks I have been too camping. Say no firearms. LTCF are exempt from this rule.
Pennsylvania Governor Signs Important Pro-Gun Bill into Law!
Friday, October 17, 2008
"Today, Friday, October 17, Governor Ed Rendell (D) signed House Bill 1845 into effect. HB1845 is an omnibus legislative package that contains a number of pro-gun provisions for Pennsylvania gun owners. Among the provisions was an “Emergency Powers” reform measure prohibiting any government agency from confiscating firearms during a state of emergency, such as occurred in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
Other important provisions include:
* establishing the lawful carry of a concealed firearm in state parks;
* funding for the acclaimed “Don’t Lie For The Other Guy” program administered by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF); and,
* an emergency permitting system for concealed carry licenses for individuals who are under immediate threat.The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....
