Default NHRPC PRACTICAL RIFLE MATCH - NJSP PATROL RIFLE QUAL COURSE

    Hi,

This month we will be running the NJSP Patrol Rifle Qual Course as a match. We've done the 50Y CQB CoF but this one goes out to 100Y. There are standing, kneeling, and prone shots with position changes involved. This match is great for newer shooters as well. Targets will be either IDPA or reduced B-27. It will be shot as a common firing line per relay with one shooter at a time firing on the clock. Three 20 round magazines are required. You will be required to shoot to slidelock and reload.

Any modern sporting rifle may shoot the course. We will recognize 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place shooters in the following categories:

    1 - Iron sights (non-kalashnikov)
    2 - Red Dot
    3 - Magnified optic
    4 - Kalashnikov

There are three shooting relays available. 0830, 1100, and 1300. 0830 helps with setup, 1300 helps clean up. Does that mean that 1100 fills up first? ;-)

You may register twice if you want to shoot two different firearm/optic classes, but you must fire the second round with a later relay.

    Online registration is required.

Thanks, and hoping to see you out there with us!

Is there any chance you could point me to some more information about the COF. Definitely interested in shooting.

Thanks fargo007, just signing up. Put in for the "easy" slot. Let me know if that fills up and I'll switch to the morning. Thanks.

Is a 3 hour drive outrageous...? I've never done this before, and no one does it up here.

    up to you i suppose.

most of these sorta events are anywhere from 45 min to 90 min away from me, but i find them to be great fun. plus after you go to a few you start to meet some of the guys.

3 hours is a bit of a hike. actually a damned long hike. if you're looking to get into 'action' or practical shooting though, then i'd say sure, go for it.

hey worst case scenario at least you know if you could pass a jersey state police rifle test, right?

to that end, anybody who registered for the event law enforcement?
