Just purchased first 1911!
Hey guys I'm excited I just purchased my first 1911, an Sti Spartan V from Tanner's for $639.99. I also looked at the RIA 2-tone 1911 which was my original plan and the Remington R1. Overall I felt the Spartan was the best gun and from the reviews I read before buying it seemed very nice. Only thing I need to do is purchase an ambi safety for it. Does anyone know which works best for the gun? links would be great.

Congrats! 1911s are awesome. now you are open to all the many great accessories for a 1911. id never buy another Highend 1911 anymore because you can take a cheap 1911 and make it shoot like the greats! good luck with your new purchase!

Spartan that's an STi you can never go wrong buying 1911 STi and for that price what a steal. Great buy!!! Let see some range reports. You lucky dog!
At that price I think I could afford a STi.
