Re: Magpul Dynamics
I have not seen the video, and am curious if they talk about equipment selection. Heat shields, side saddles, etc....
Thanks,
Jules

Re: Magpul Dynamics
They do talk about side saddles briefly. But i don't recall anything about heat shields. As for other equipment they talk about sights a fair but.

Re: Magpul Dynamics
I was just wondering what their position was on "add on" equipment. For the record, I dislike side saddles and absolutely despise heat shields.

Re: Magpul Dynamics
I have the DVD set and I thought it was awesome instruction. They teach different methods of reloading, whether it be from a side saddle, barrel cuff, sling with shell holders built into it, or shell caddies worn on the belt. So if you dislike side saddles, you probably can find another method of ammo carry that you like. Their philosophy is usually what ammo you have on and in the gun, is all the ammo you will have (generally). Most people don't don a tac vest with all kinds of ammo and gear when they hear a bump in the night. As I said, it was really good instruction, especially on performing slug/buskshot change-overs with 1 and 2 rounds, in crusier safe and cruisier ready. If you're not shootin it, you're feedin it!

Re: Magpul Dynamics
I thought it was an excellent DVD. As far as add-on gear, they are big on electronic optics, traditional stocks, and sidesaddles. They geared it well for a broad spectrum of end users, stuff that's suitable from Joe home defender to Tim the tactical operator operating operationally.
Yeah, I hate heat shields too.
