lc9 or bodyguard
I'm thinking about going with a Lc9 to replace my stolen 380 bodyguard.I really liked the Bodyguard and was going to buy another, but I fondled a Lc9 today and kind of liked it.It's a little bigger, has a mag saftey and doesn't have double strike capabilities. It does carry one more round and is in 9mm also cheaper. This will be my BUG/summer carry. What do you guys and gals think?

Re: lc9 or bodyguard
I had an LC9, I really liked the size and feel. But I could not get past the very long trigger pull. I did not feel like I would be able to operate the gun reliably under stress.
However http://www.gallowayprecision.com/ now makes a new hammer and trigger bar that eliminate that issue.
Now the wife is shopping for a new CCW and she has decided on an LC9 with the trigger parts from Galloway.

Re: lc9 or bodyguard
I haven't handled a Bodygaurd, but I recently compared a LC9 and a Taurus PT709 Slim. I went with the Taurus because it has no magazine safety, and it does have double-strike capabilities, yet with a manual safety and short single action trigger. It is similarly sized to the LC9. You might want to consider the Taurus if those things are important to you. Also, 9mm > .380

Re: lc9 or bodyguard
I LOVE my LC9 and I've been practicing with it...and the more I use it, the easier the trigger gets.
I am probably biased but I am loving it and think it was a great choice for me.
Its ending up to be my handbag carry...just this week got an LCP for my body carry because I couldn't quite conceal the LC9 the way I wanted to. I wish the LCP had the little thumb safety, though, like the LC9 does. I love that feature."Stupid people are ruining America." --Herman Cain
