    Default Stoeger Cougar Mags

    Hey Guys,
My dad as a Stoeger Cougar in .40 Cal. He was wondering if the mags from a Beretta cougar will function with his gun. We both figure its a yes since they are the same gun but I would like to be 100% sure.

Absolutely the same for Beretta and Stoeger. The mags were made either by Mecgar or MDS for Beretta and Stoeger.

Beretta actually owns the controlling stake in Stoeger, and when they decided to manufacture the Cougar in Turkey, they shipped all of the original manufacturing equipment from Beretta's plant in Italy to Stoeger's plant. Not only are they the same exact design, they're made on the original equipment with the same materials...

As its been mention Beretta and Stoegers are almost the same guns. Holters, mags and even internal parts interchange. The Stoeger is just a Beretta with a different name on it. I have a Stoeger and Beretta no difference except for finish the SS stogers are ill looking comapered to Berettas 96/92 Inox or a SS 8040 or 8009. Other then that they are the same.

    Stoeger 8045 is $499 in 45acp thats a $695 Beretta, around here.

Yeah, it's funny what the name on the box will do to the price. Winchester W231 is the EXACT same powder as Hodgdon HP38. They are packaged in EXACTLY the same containers for sale. W231 is about $2-$3 more per pound.
