Thumbs down Ruger Red Label Shotgun

It looks like another American made shotgun is off the market. I was in the market for another O/U and went to the Ruger site to check out the offerings on their Red Label and it appears that Ruger has stopped/suspended the production of this shotgun.

I wanted to stick with American Built but now I guess I'll have to check out the Brownings & Weatherby offerings.

    I already emailed them.

We have discontinued the Ruger Red Label line of shotguns – for the time being. We have many new products in the works so please continue to check the Ruger website often.

I bet they will bring it back once things get better with them.

I will b ein the market for a new 12ga O/U next year... I was hoping to get a 12 red label engraved to match my 20 but.. maybe switch to some one else's gun.

If you would have told me five years ago that Ruger would no longer be making Red Labels, but would offer an AR, 1911 and polymer .22s, I would have laughed. The landscape is changing. Pick up a guns and ammo mag from ten years ago. AR ads were scarce, let alone a feature on an AR. Again, WE have brought on the change. Have you seen the abortion Mossberg just put out?

Oh god that thing is horrible. And im sure people will buy it. Just like how im amazed at the tactical double barrel that has come out now.

Its a shame they stopped making these shotgun though. I was contemplating an O/U for clays next year.

I've got a Red Label (12ga) and absolutely love it. It took me a pretty long time to save for it but I had always wanted one. My only regret was not getting a Gold Label when they were available, now the prices for them are out of sight.
