Default Lee Breech lock challenger 50th anniversay kit

so i've decided Im taking the plunge to reloading, not so much to save money but more or less a hobby. so going to start out with the lee single stage: my only question is the priming on the anniversary model, you prime the case as it comes down after you expand the case mouth. Was wondering if anyone had some experience with this? I can get the same kit model # 90030 with the priming tool instead of this step built into the press. anyone have this kit, thoughts?

I have the 90030 type kit, had the chance for the first kit you mentioned but opted for the one with the hand priming tools, I'm sure both will give you great pleasure in reloading..this is my second Lee press i have a older cast one as well.

The one I picked up has the . . I don't remember what technical name they call it. But it can prime on the press. Personally, I don't see any problem with it. I have heard many people say that you get better feel from a hand tool. The way I look at it, it is easy to take the primer feed arm doo-flinkus off the press, and prime with a different tool.

Personally, I want to do a few hundred rounds in as many different ways as I can to see what might suit me better.
I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

It looks like the same priming setup as on my Lee Classic Turret press. If it is, it works like a charm. I use that for my pistol rounds but still use the Lee Autoprime for rifle.
