Just an FYI: new Chiappa 22LR M1 Carbine starting to show up
FYI on a thread at RFC on the arrival of the .22LR M1 Carbine ... Looks interesting.

Guess if it were to maintain "correct cosmetics" mag capacity will be somewhat limited. Have to wait on more being fielded to see what the quality actually is; the one at the NRA show was really beat. All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

Well I can wish in one hand and ... but I'm hoping Chiappa uses this op-rod replica action to cobble together a Garand in .22LR (maybe with a flush-fit 10/22 mag) or an "M14".
This is not that far-fetched given that Italy was a massive post-war user of Garands and Garand-based BM59s and civvie '62s. Maybe they would release a fakey BM59 Alpini, Paracadutisti, Nigerian in a sense of pride if not a Garand replica in a sense of making serious coinage. All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

Looks interesting I think I'll be in the wait and see crowd before I bite.
Chiappa is not known for good customer relations.
