Anybody in SEPA have a power meter I can borrow? I’d like to peak my radio without breaking the law.

Crap didn’t see what forum this thread was started. Nevermind

You can swing by after the monsoon if you want and tune it here.

Speaking of CB - I have a Cobra 75 and last week drove down and back to NC on 95 and was disappointed that not many seemed to be using it. I remember many years ago at least truckers would give a heads up on Ch 19 on speed traps but I heard zero and past tons of LEO.
Google maps now gives out a verbal speed trap warning.

I've run C.B's in my auto since 16yrs old.
You used to be able to get a guy around here who dealt in them to tune it ...... very long time ago.
Now when I swap a C.B or antenna ...... I just ask for a radio check and it seems to be fine every time and I go about my business ....
I understand this is supposed to be bad for them or something ...... but in over 30yrs ...... nothing has happened
The imbalance gets reflected back into the radio. Too much and it will fry.

Ya know, if the s*** really does hit the fan who the hell is going to be going around checking to see if you have a license to operate that radio? Dopey Joe Biden? I have my Dad's CB radio from the 90's and it still works and if I need to use it that's what I'll do. I'm not sure if my qualifications on radio operation by the FCC are still good now that I'm retired but I had to take a test to get those qualifications as part of my qualifications as a train crew and then later as a railroad foreman.

You'd be surprised, they are here in this very forum and are the same ones who want to dissuade people from using Baofengs.
