Re: Walnut Creek Rifle Club is NOT closing
Closed for almost a year?!? Hardly... I've been out several times last summer/fall/winter sighting in my new Aimpoints and EoTechs...
Have faith that everything will get done. It might be a good time to practice your pistol skills. I had a Oklahoma police officer out there on the pistol range a couple months ago. He needed all the practice he could get.Last edited by Champion5; May 15th, 2012 at 09:03 PM. Reason: you = your

Re: Walnut Creek Rifle Club is NOT closing
You are correct Champion. Modifications have been made behind the 100 yard backboards within the past two days. After the railroad ties and boards are put back up, some testing will be done. If the board is satisfied that a safe situation exists, the range will reopen. Everything that has been done so far has been done in the interest of safety. Please bear with the club until the situation is rectified. Until then, the pistol range is open. Rifles can be fired safely at the 25 yard pistol boards.

Re: Walnut Creek Rifle Club is NOT closing
I'm not really interested in pistol shooting but do use the 50 yd range quite a bit ( every time I go) so it has been almost a year since I've been able to utilize the range the range as I normally would. So when you say the range is open, you mean you can use part o the range.

Re: Walnut Creek Rifle Club is NOT closing
Ok, My Grandsons are here from Caliornia and for the second summer I can not take them to the range to teach them how to shoot. You can't start on a 100 yd target. Whats more it doesn't appear they intend to resurrect the 25 and 50 yd ranges. Besides having to carry all my shooting accessories down to the benches is beginning to be a real PITA with my physical limitations. Sadly I may have to let my membership expire because WCRC doesnt seem to feel a need to address these concerns.
