Default New "shoes" (custom grips) for the RIA 1911

I just got these today from DJP Artistry. I think he did an awesome job (worked with me one-on-one to get the idea of what I wanted). Love 'em!

    nice grip.

BTW, is that original MSH that RIA comes with or aftermarket?
Looks almost as if RIA's frame is smaller(front to back) then reguler frame size...

Thank you! Yes, that's original. Other than the grips, nothing's been changed. The gun is a two-tone tactical, so I'm not sure if they changed any dimensions.

Thanks! In natural lighting, they lean a bit more toward ebony.

Thank you! The wood is Peruvian walnut. I selected it from among several (blank) samples I was shown.

First thing I did when I bought my RIA was swap out the grips. I went with some dark rosewood USAF grips from Kimber. Required slight modification tho due to the ambi safety. But looks great. Yours are a great color and pattern.

Thanks! I'm not sure why it took me so long to get around to replacing the grips on this one, but I'm glad I did!

yea. First thing I did to my wife's Rock was to replace the grip as well.
She actually wanted a pink grip. I can find a hot pink grip that is smooth, but I wanted the checkered one at least. So I got Hogue wraparound for now.

Kimber sells Pink/gray carbonfiber grip panel, which would be GREAT, except it says Kimber on it.

    So my search still continues...
