    Default Pa instant check system

It's been a few weeks now since I applied for my LTCF and I'm starting to get a little worried. I was kind of a bad youth but I'm pretty sure I should be approved. I did a criminal record search on myself through http://ujsportal.pacourts.us/DocketSheets/CP.aspx and came back with only the DUI. I'd like to pick up a pistol this weekend as I plan on OCing during business hours and locking her up in the work safe at night. If they run the PIC on me and something comes back can I get in some kind of trouble for trying to obtain a firearm? Could I call the number myself and pay the fee?

If all you have is one DUI you should be ok .I was every parents nightmare as a kid but was fortunate enough to not get caught up in the system . I was arrested when I was 16 for 3 felonies but was released on consent decree so I have no convictions and again arrested in nj at 20 for weapons and it was busted down to a summary offense . I bought my first firearm in OCT of 2010 was denied at first and got the denial reversed . I have purchased 5 more since then with no issues and received my LTCF 6 months ago . Is the DUI your only issue ?

Been charged with a couple things but no other convictions. I did get arrested for assault with a deadly when I took a baseball bat to a guy smacking his girlfriend around in the mall parking lot. Charges were later dropped. Also signed myself in for a 303(?) at 16 when my parents were going through a divorce. Since it wasn't involuntary that should be fine as well. The facility I went to is now out of business and I can't find anyone that can provide me with any mental health record for me being there.

Were I work I'm almost looked at kind of funny for not OCing. The trusty deerfield 12g has been sitting under the counter but it feels a lot more comfortable having something more easily handled. Until recently I was under the impression that my over 1 year conviction prohibited me from owning a handgun.

Not sure if it's your business, but you don't need a LTCF to carry at work.

No, the general public cannot call the Pa instant check system (PICS) to get information.
